CO-FOUNDERS AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS

SERENA AND KEITH TERRY

K&S Events was born out of Serena and Keith Terry’s joint passion towards providing value to consumers in the event planning and design space. This lovely couple makes up the backbone of the business, overseeing the day-to-day operations and providing vision and guidance for the entire team.

Serena is a certified event planner with professional certifications from the United States Career Institute and The Institute of Wedding and Design. She specializes in crafting intricate arrangements, setups, and itineraries for her various clients, and is always striving to improve her business. Her skillset doesn’t just start and end with design, however, she also is a mentor and teacher in the event planning industry, providing educational courses for aspiring event planners, without the excess fluff of a traditional program.

A successful entrepreneur and dedicated community leader, Keith is responsible for managing the logistics and technicalities behind K&S Events. With more than 25 years of experience in business management and real estate, he has overseen several startups, including the popular urban event center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin known as 3041 North. His experience in other trades, including the electrical, plumbing, and landscaping industries, give him a unique perspective when it comes to managing venues.

Keith is an accredited master electrician and has been awarded a certificate of recognition from the city of Milwaukee for outstanding community service, as well as a key to new North Avenue in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His employees describe him as a selfless leader & able to prioritize their needs and concerns to keep the company running smoothly.

ADMINISTRATOR AND MARKETING DIRECTOR

MARANDA BROWN

Maranda works directly with Keith and Serena to plan and manage the business affairs of K&S Events. A United States Career Institute certified wedding and event planner, she is a skilled designer in her own right, able to create intricate décor arrangements perfect for any occasion. She also is an adept communicator and public speaker, a skill that earned her the top prize in the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Speech Contest twice.

 Maranda is currently seeking her dual bachelor’s degree in digital marketing and integrated communications.

WEB DEVELOPER AND CONSULTANT

TOBE NDIKA

Tobechukwu (Tobe) serves as the team’s web developer, analyst, consultant, and is responsible for the technical management of K&S Events. He has a passion for web development and maintenance and assists Serena and Keith with day-to-day operations as a member of their management team. 

Tobe is a graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran college with a bachelor’s degree in biology and biochemistry. He is also happily married to Serena’s daughter, Maranda.
